Social media has taken the world by storm, the way that we interact with each other has changed dramatically. As business owners, a large percentage of our market is now reached through our effective use of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Blogging, and Twitter to name a few.

So what are you doing for your business to remain at the forefront of your prospective client’s minds?

Having a solid plan of attack is the cornerstone to effective social media. There are many different considerations that we are faced with on a daily basis, and social media can be forgotten and not attended to properly!

As human beings we love patterns, so when considering what you are going to do, make sure that what you are putting out there is consistent with regards to timing. You need to make a very realistic plan and decision on your ability to dedicate time to this. By this we mean if you only have time to post interesting information once a week then make sure you are posting once a week, when prospective clients pick up on your patterns then they are more likely to look for your post at that time.

Content rich information is the other critical element, with the amount of information that is available to each and every one of us today it is hard to get lost in the crowd. Having interesting and relevant information to your target market is key to get them engaging with you and your business. Think about topics like food, clothing, interior design, child-related information, travel information and the list goes on!

Deciding what content you are going to post should not be a difficult task if you understand your target market correctly.
